The concept for Serene Cream began 15 years ago in Cairns, North Queensland. As a mother to a new baby I was seriously concerned about how vulnerable she was to toxins in our environment, from the food we ate to the products we put on our skin. Having recently completed a course in Aromatherapy, I became interested in the art of baby massage and wanted the best possible oils for my baby, I started off with organic carrier oils and added Roman Chamomile and Lavender oils for their soothing and calming properties.
At the time we lived in an area infested with mosquitoes and sand flies and I started experimenting with different essential oils and discovered a magic combination that would calm the incessant itching associated with living in this tropical climate.
It took several months more to develop a satisfactory base cream for the essential oils, one that would also be soothing to the skin and yet not feel greasy or too heavy.
It was upon meeting my French husband 8 years ago that I was convinced of the need to go public with my discovery. From there I have added several other soothing creams and balms to the Serene Cream range along with specially blended massage oils and have recently branched out into more general body products such as moisturisers and scrubs.
I personally test all of my products and under no circumstances are any products tested on animals.
